Custom Iron-On Patches

Custom iron-on patches use a heat-activated backing to attach a design to compatible fabric. They offer a clean application for clothing and accessories when the garment can tolerate the required heat and pressure.

Starting from $2.49 / patch. Final pricing depends on your specification and quantity.

Check fabric compatibility first

Heat seal patches need a suitable surface. Coated fabrics, delicate synthetics and heat-sensitive finishes may be unsuitable; always check the garment care label. Do not assume every jacket or hat can be pressed. Sew-on attachment can be a better option when heat would damage the fabric.

Applying iron-on patches for hats and jackets

A curved hat panel, lining or thick seam can prevent even contact. Share the placement and equipment you plan to use. Follow the instructions supplied for your backing, including temperature, pressure, dwell time and cooling. There is no single setting that works for every patch and garment combination.

Care after application

Let the bond set as directed before wearing or washing. Follow the more restrictive care instructions of the patch and garment. For high-friction workwear or items washed frequently, ask whether edge stitching is appropriate. Heat press patches still need the correct backing and application conditions to perform well.

Questions about custom iron-on patches

Can I apply a patch with a household iron?

Some backings can be applied that way, but suitability depends on the patch, fabric and pressure required. Confirm the instructions for your order before applying heat.

Are iron-on and peel-and-stick patches the same?

No. Iron-on backing bonds through heat; pressure-sensitive adhesive patches are applied without the same heat process. Choose the attachment for the intended surface and wear.
