Custom Shield Patches

Custom shield patches frame an identity in a crest or badge shape. The tapering outline creates a strong visual structure, but it also reduces the room available for lettering near the bottom.

Provide the exact shield outline

Shield logo patches vary in shoulder width, curves and the shape of the lower point. Send the desired outline rather than relying on a generic shield description. Include the border in the overall dimensions and leave room around the edges for construction.

Organize the crest into readable areas

Place important lettering in the wider part of the badge and avoid crowding the narrow point. Shield embroidered patches work well with bold emblems; smaller internal detail may favor woven construction. Check the whole crest at the intended garment size.

Distinguish identity from official approval

Custom shield badges can represent clubs, businesses and teams. For an official uniform, use authorized artwork and the relevant specification. The shield shape itself does not establish approval or compliance with an organization standard.

Questions about custom shield patches

Can a shield have an irregular outline?

Share the vector outline so the appropriate edge treatment can be assessed.

Can the same crest be made in several sizes?

Yes, but smaller versions may need simplified lettering or detail. Review each size separately.
