Custom Velcro Patches

Custom Velcro patches use hook and loop attachment so a patch can be removed or exchanged without unpicking stitches. They suit uniform name panels, morale patches and gear with an existing loop panel.

Match the hook and loop panel

Measure the usable panel on your garment, not just the surrounding seam. The hook side on the patch needs a compatible loop surface to grip. If your clothing does not already have a loop panel, tell us whether a matching panel is needed and how it will be attached. Hook backing alone will not attach securely to every fabric.

Choose the face material separately

Hook and loop custom patches describe the attachment, not the front material. An embroidered face gives a familiar textile texture; PVC offers molded detail. Velcro logo patches, name patches and tactical morale patches each need artwork sized for the viewing distance and available panel.

Plan for frequent changes

Removable patches help when roles, names or event identities change. Keep panel dimensions consistent across a set and check orientation before approving the proof. Clear lint from the fastening surfaces and follow the care guidance for the patch face as well as the garment.

Questions about custom velcro patches

Are hook and loop patches the same as Velcro patches?

Customers commonly use both terms for removable fastening. VELCRO is a brand name; ask which fastening material is included if a particular branded product is required.

Do I need both sides of the fastener?

If the garment already has a suitable loop panel, a hook-backed patch may be sufficient. Otherwise, request advice on a matching loop panel.
